Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl and several community groups are holding a holiday food and toy drive with drop-off locaions available at several city buildings.

New, unwrapped toys and/or non-perishable food items can help make the holiday season joyful for many needy Evanston families.

Donations will be accepted through Friday, Dec. 14, at the Civic Center at 2100 Ridge Ave., the main library at 1703 Orrington Ave., the north branch library at 2026 Central St., the Chandler-Newberger Center at 1028 Central St., the Ecology Center at 2024 McCormick Blvd., the Fleetwood-Jourdain Center at 1655 Foster St., the Levy Senior Center at 300 Dodge Ave., the Noyes Cultural Arts Center at 927 Noyes St. and the Robert Crown Center at 1701 Main St.

Call 311 to check drop-off hours at the various locations. Donations can also be made online.
