Drug start-up raises $25 million


The Evanston-based pharmaceutical firm Naurex Inc. has raised another $25 million from investors.

Chicago Business reports that the Northwestern University spinout, based at the Illinois Technology Enterprise Center on Maple Avenue, is now considering raising even more funds.

The firm has a pair of antidepressants that are undergoing testing. It has about 50 employees and has raised about $89 million so far but will have to raise more to get the drugs through the testing process.
