Money raised helps pay for care of the live animals at the Evanston Ecology Center. You can sponsor one duck for $10 or a “Quack Pack” of three for $25, and you can take your ducky home after the race.

The annual event, which draws lots of kids and their parents, starts at 3 p.m. at the lagoon, Sheridan Road at Church Street.
