Evanston police made two arrests, on Sheridan Road and on Church Street, involving charges of driving under the influence. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Drugs

711 Elgin

Barrington Washington Newman, Jr., 25, of 14501 Kenwood Ave., Dolton, was arrested at 711 Elgin Road at 4:22 p.m. yesterday and charged with a drug violation. He is due in court on Feb. 6 at 9 a.m.

2315 Emerson

Tyrone Elijah Gibbs, 24, of 2116 Emerson St., was arrested at 2315 Emerson St. at 4 p.m. Wednesday and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He is due in court on Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m.

Traffic

7700 Sheridan

Elida M. Adams-Davis, 48, of 1900 Sherman Ave., was arrested at 7700 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Jan. 10 at 10:30 a.m.

600 Church

Jacqueline B. Mendoza, 31, of 4520 S. Marshfield Ave., Chicago, was arrested at 600 Church St. at 3:45 a.m. yesterday and charged with driving under the influence. She is due in court on Feb. 6 at 9 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
