The Evanston Fire Department has promoted nine-year veteran firefighter Damian Bazan to captain.
Bazan holds a bachelor’s degree in fire science from Southern Illinois University and numerous fire and technical rescue certifications.
In addition to his departmental responsibilities, Captain Bazan is a member of the Evanston Fire Department/MABAS Division 3 Dive team, He is also an active member of the department’s Honor Guard, and has held the role of EMS Coordinator for the department.
