Evanston Township High School will honor eight of its student athletes Wednesday morning who've signed letters of commitment to continue their education and competitive sports careers at the collegiate level next year.

Athletic Director Chris Livatino says the playors will be honored at at 7:30 a.m. ceremony in Beardsley Gymnasium.

They include three football players heading to NCAA Division I schools — Travion Banks to Miami of Ohio, Naquan Jones to Michigan State and Matt Little to Western Michigan. Also one, Jalan Jenkins to Indiana State, a Division IAA school, and two going to Division II schools — Taj Jackson to Southern Illinois and Immanuel Woodberry to Northern Michigan.

Two soccer players will also be honored — Jack Betterman, who's going to Loras College in Division III and Adam Masters, who's going to Cornell University in Division I.

Editor's Note 6 p.m. 2/2/16: In an earlier version of this story we inadvertently left out one of the players and got the division level for one of the schools wrong.

Update 10:55 a.m. 2/3/16: Chris Livatino now says he missed one football player in yesterday's list — Jonathon Connerly Bey is heading to Division III school Robert Morris University. And Taj Jackson is going to Quincy University, not Southern Illinois.
