A cell phone and a laptop computer were stolen from the Noyes Cultural Arts Center. These among the stories in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

THEFT

900 Noyes

A cell phone was stolen from a coat and a laptop was stolen from a backpack at about 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center while the owners of the stolen items were in another room.

800 Hinman

A green touring bicycle was stolen from a garage in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between Oct. 23 and 7:20 p.m. Saturday.

A green mountain bicycle was stolen from the common area of a residence in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between 2 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. yesterday.

1300 Chancellor

Someone gained entry to an unlocked garage in the 1300 block of Chancellor Street and took a blue Cypress bicycle between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 9 p.m. Thursday.

1600 Sherman

Two retail thefts were reported at the Target store in the 1600 block of Sherman Avenue. Alcoholic products were taken between 3:03 p.m. Tuesday and 11:27 a.m. on Wednesday and miscellaneous other items were taken between 7:41 p.m. and 8:06 p.m. on Friday.

600 Chicago

Alcoholic products were stolen from Walgreens Pharmacy in the 600 block of Chicago Avenue around 9:25 a.m. yesterday.

BATTERY

1944 Jackson

Rickiya C. Zachary, 30, of 7521 Madison, Forest Park, was arrested at 1944 Jackson Ave. at 5:25 p.m. Saturday and charged with battery.

BURGLARY

2000 Green Bay

Miscellaneous items were taken from a storage unit in the 2000 block of Green Bay Road between Oct. 23 and 5:07 p.m. Saturday.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

1400 Hartrey

Someone damaged a gate’s latch and bolt, but nothing was missing from the yard of a home in the 1400 block of Hartrey Avenue. The damage occurred between 6 p.m. Friday and and 9 a.m. Saturday.

3200 Thayer

A window was broken at the rear of a home in the 3200 block of Thayer Street between 9:15 p.m. and 9:40 p.m. Saturday.

2500 Green Bay

Landscaping and planter boxes were damaged at a commercial site in the 2500 block of Green Bay Road between 9:45 p.m. Saturday and 7:55 a.m. yesterday.

300 Custer

The front seat of a 2014 Mitsubishi vehicle was burned around 12:26 p.m. yesterday  in the 300 block of Custer Avenue.

1000 Dobson

Someone threw a pumpkin at a window, breaking it, at a home in the 1000 block of Dobson Street at about 7:43 p.m. yesterday.

GRAFFITI

1600 Sheridan

Graffiti was discovered painted in a bathroom at a park in the 1600 block of Sheridan Road at 9:27 a.m. Thursday.

TRAFFIC

2024 Keeney

Joseph C. Carter, 40, of 2038 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 2024 Keeney St. at 1:12 a.m. Saturday and charged with a traffic violation.

Emerson at Darrow

Michelle L. Carter, 33, of 1735 ½ Darrow Ave., was arrested at Emerson Street and Darrow Avenue at 12:22 p.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation.

1600 Dodge

Angel Patino, 22, of 1836 Dodge Ave., was arrested at 1600 Dodge Ave. at 1:07 p.m. Saturday and charged with driving under the influence.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute an assumption of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Court in Skokie.
