ETHS: 15 steps to sign up for parent conferences online

Parents of students at Evanston Township High School can sign up online starting Monday, March 2, for conferences with their kids’ teachers.

The parent conferences themselves will be held on Thursday, March 11, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m.

The school has sent out the following instructions for how to get through the signup process.

Parents of students at Evanston Township High School can sign up online starting Monday, March 2, for conferences with their kids’ teachers.

The parent conferences themselves will be held on Thursday, March 11, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m.

The school has sent out the following instructions for how to get through the signup process.

  1. Go to www.eths.k12.il.us (ETHS Home Page), click on the link titled Parent Teacher Conferences, and then click on Sign up for Parent Conferences. or go directly to http://www.eths.k12.il.us/conferences/index.asp
  2. Click Start here under Schedule Conferences.
  3. You will then be asked how many students you are creating conferences for. After you make your selection, click the Continue button.
  4. Next, you will be asked to enter the Student ID(s) and Password(s). Your password is also your Student’s ID number. * Example – Student ID: 612345 Password: 612345
  5. After you type in this information, click the Continue button.
  6. You will be asked to select the day and time range you would like to schedule your conferences. After you have made this selection, click the Continue button.
  7. Now you will be asked to select a Minimum time between conferences.The minimum time between conferences gives you a minimum passing period between conferences. Selecting the smallest time will result in the best possible conference schedule. As in past years, each conference lasts 5 minutes. After you have made your selections, click the Continue button.
  8. Information regarding your child’s or children’s enrollment will now be displayed. Select either Yes or No from the list for each course, to specify if you wish to meet with that particular teacher. After you have made your selections, click the Continue button.
  9. The PT Conference Maker system will then create the best possible conference schedule based on your selections. Click Accept This Schedule even if you want to make some changes. (If you click on Reject This Schedule & Modify Requests, you will delete all conference slots and will need to start all over.)
  10. Follow the instructions to print out your schedule. You can also click E-mail Me This Schedule. If you want to modify individual time slots, click Modify My Accepted Conferences. Note: For parents with more than one student, the printed schedule will help with modifications because you can only modify one student at a time. Note: check your junk mail if you do not see the email.
  11. Click on View/ Modify Conferences.
  12. Click on Modify Conferences and put in your Student’s ID and Password. Note: You can only modify one student’s schedule at a time.
  13. Click on Delete Conference next to the time slot you would like to change. Then, Click Yes, Delete this Conference.
  14. Click on Create Conference and repeat steps 6 and 7. A revised schedule will appear. Repeat this process for each slot you want to change.
  15. After you have completed all changes, Print or E-mail the schedule to yourself now. (Check your spam folder if you don’t receive the e-mail.)
