About 100 Evanston Township High School teachers and staff staged a mass distribution of graduation signs to every student in the Class of 2020 this morning.

The signs are usually a fundraising program for the ETHS Boosters group, but the organization decided to make gifts of the signs to students this year as a sign of support for them during the COVID-19 pandemic.

School Superintendent Eric Witherspoon and Principal Marcus Campbell post a sign in the yard of senior Kayla Henning.

The boosters group promotes extracurriculars at the school including sports, music, fine arts and after-school clubs.

Senior Wyatt Hubbard said, “It was cool to wake up to” his sign.
