Evanston Boys Lacrosse made the journey to Cary Grove on Saturday intent on avenging another 1-goal loss from 2013.
The Wildkit defense was typically stingy but sloppy ball handling at all parts of the field (18 Turnovers) held the Kits scoring well below potential.
Senior Jake Casati had the hot hand and buried a season high 4 goals on 9 shots. The Sophomore Face-Off Core of Chris David, Nick Lydon, Quinn McConkey went 10 of 12 at the X. Evanston Wildkits-6, Cary Grove Trojans-2.
Wildkit scoring: Casati: G-4; Julcher: A-2; Mayne: G-1; Crowe: G-1; Cunningham: A-1
Goalie: Marcello Porter-Dunning: 3 Saves.
The Wildkits record now stands at 12-3 with both of the remaining regular season games at home, at 7 p.m. Tuesday against Barington and on Friday, Senior Night, against Fenwick. Playoff games begin the week of May 19.
