The Evanston Township High School boys basketball team opens its season tonight againt  Mount Carmel at DePaul Prep at 8 p.m.

The “Battle of the Bridge” Tournament continues Tuesday with ETHS playing Taft at 6 p.m., Wednesday against DePaul Prep at 8 p.m.

If they do well, the Kits, ranked #7 by the Chicago Tribune, may face #13 Notre Dame for the championship on Friday at 8 p.m. at DePaul Prep.

Girls Basketball, ranked #15 by the Tribune, got off to a strong start with three straight wins in the Lady Saxons Thanksgiving Tournament beating Wheaton-Warrenville South 48-25, St. Charles East 55-49, and Stevenson 47-32.

The Kits face Rockford Boylan Tuesday at 5 p.m. and play tournament host Schaumburg on Friday at 1 p.m.  Their first home game is Friday, Dec. 4, against Maine South at 7 p.m.
