Tickets go on sale Monday for the ETHS vs. New Trier girls and boys basketball games at Northwestern University’s Welsh-Ryan Arena on Friday, Dec. 12.
The girls tip off at 6 p.m., and the boys game starts at 7:30 p.m.
Adult tickets are $10, and student/children tickets are $5.
Ticket prices have increased to raise money for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the fight against breast cancer. $5 of the adult tickets and $3 of the student tickets will go towards the fundraiser to support breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment.
“Three years ago at this event, Evanston and New Trier gave $2,000 in ticket money to the Special Olympics. This year we’re taking it a step further by doubling our ticket prices,” said Evanston athletic director Chris Livatino.
“We know the Evanston-New Trier communities are generous and committed. This is a way to support an important cause and enjoy a great rivalry at the same time,” Livatino said.
Those in attendance will receive a t-shirt commemorating the event. All tickets will be $10 at the door.
This is year eight the game has been played at NU to accommodate the overflow crowds and give the athletes a chance to play at a college site.
