Evanston Township High School is one of 19 high school districts in Illinois that have won an award from SchoolSearch, an online firm that sells school rating data to relocating families.

The award is given to districts where at least 49.1 percent of teachers have a master’s degree or more education, the student-teacher ratio is no higher than 18.4 to 1, the average teacher salary is at least $55,558, operating expense per pupil is at least $8,786 and the ACT composite score of all students tested averages at least 20.6.

Evanston/Skokie School District 65 did not receive an award in the similar SchoolSearch rating program for elementary districts.
