Evanston Township High School is among 14 schools nationwide to be named Grammy Signature Schools for 2009 by the Grammy Foundation.

This is the third time ETHS has received this designation, which honors the strength of the school’s entire music program.

ETHS will receive a $1,000 grant to benefit the music program. The recipients are determined by the Blue Ribbon Committee, a panel of top music educators and professionals.

Over 20,000 public high schools are annually invited to apply for the awards and must submit comprehensive material about their music program, including recordings of school concerts, concert programs and repertoire, and other documentation.

The Grammy Signature Schools program is presented by the Gibson Foundation with support from the Ford Motor Company Fund.

As a community we are very fortunate to have these programs available to our children. Thank you.
