Zach Warhus, in a rare starting role for the Evanston wrestling team, stepped in at 182 pounds Friday night and sparked the Wildkits to a 28-26 triumph over Niles North in a Central Suburban League crossover matchup.

Evanston also defeated host Maine East by a 69-12 margin in the double dual event.

Warhus defeated North’s Zac Khaya 5-1 at 182 in the second-to-last match to provide the Wildkits with what turned out to be an insurmountable 28-23 advantage.

Another highlight for ETHS against the Vikings was Jonathan Silencioux’s 3-2 victory over Dan Litovchenko, a grappler he lost to at 120 pounds at last weekend’s CSL tournament.
