When Evanston police searched a vehicle Saturday that was being held in a burglary investigation, they uncovered drugs and a weapon that led to the arrest of a convicted felon from Skokie.

Upon inspection of the vehicle, Evanston detectives located about 6 grams of cocaine in multiple packages for sale, 10 grams of cannabis, and a loaded .38 caliber revolver.

The vehicle’s owner, Eduardo Santana, 36, of 9133 Lawler Ave., Skokie, was arrested and charged with multiple drug and weapons offenses.

He is due to appear in Skokie District Court on June 13 at 9 a.m.

    I am on the victim notification call list from the State's Attorney for this guy and he has been released!

    Seriously, this guy had tons of drugs and a gun in his car two months ago and now he out walking around.  Please be careful!
