Saturday was senior day for the Wildkits, and the seniors shined in their spotlight.

Pitcher Allie Managlia finished her career on the Evanston Township High School field by pitching a no-hitter.

Managlia had pitched a no hitter in her very first game on the field as a freshman on varsity, and hadn’t pitched another until her very last game of her senior year, so she is leaving her high school field the same way she came in.

Senior Caroline Duke led the team with her bat, hitting a grand slam over the left field fence in the first inning.  Duke also tripled twice and drove in 6 runs.  Senior Anna Balch also doubled twice and drove in three runs.  Balch and Duke combined to make 7 plays on defense.  Senior Maddie Reiches also reached base twice.

The Kits will be graduating four seniors – Maddie Reiches, Allie Managlia, Caroline Duke, and Anna Balch.  All four of these seniors have been named all-conference in past seasons and Managlia, Balch, and Duke were all named team MVP in the past three years.
