Nearly 1,500 Evanston-based businesses have received funds from the federal government under the Paycheck Protection Program enacted in response to economic disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The data, released by the Small Business Administration and Treatury Department on Monday, names 660,000 small businesses and nonprofit organizaitons that received at least $150,000 in funding and provides more limited details about those that received smaller amounts.
