After losing a close 3-2 encounter to Niles West earlier this season, Evanston got revenge this afternoon by pounding the Wolves of Niles West High School 11-2 behind a complete game pitching performance from Justin Kleschen. Kleschen went the full 7 innings giving up 2 runs with 9 strikeouts.

The game was scoreless through 2 when Noah Doppelt singled in Max Siedlecki who had reached on a single and was advanced to second on Connor Hackett’s sacrifice bunt.
The game stayed 1-0 until the 5th when the Kits scored 3 runs keyed by Hackett’s RBI single.
Evanston added 5 more runs in the 5th inning highlighted by Ameer Cannon’s 3 run double.
The Kits tacked on 2 more in the 7th making the final 11-2.
Offensively, the Kits were led by Hackett (2 for 3, 2 RBI), and Alex Vergara (2 for 4).
Evanston is now 18-10 and 9-6 in the CSL. The Wildkits have a rematch against New Trier at Duke Childs Field in Winnetka Wednesday afternoon.
