Evanston ranks 15th among the nation’s cities in percentage of commuters who bike to work, according to Bloomberg News.

The business news service contends that some 5.3 percent of Evanston’s commuters pedal to work, compared with 6.2 percent in Madison, Wis. (9th) and 6.1 percent in Portland, Ore. (11th).

Davis, Calif., claimed the No. 1 spot, with 19.1 percent of its commuters taking their bikes, and Boulder, Colo., was No. 2 at 12.1 percent.
