Elgin police have arrested two Elgin men who allegedly beat and robbed an Evanston man who was standing in a park while waiting for a Metra train.

The Courier-News reports that the incident happened Sunday in Elgin’s Festival Park.

The victim told police three men approached him, demanded to know what was in a bag he was carrying and then hit him on the head and stole his cell phone.

Andres Sanchez, 17, and Oscar E. Villagomez, 36, now face felony robbery charges.
