Police have charged a 53-year-old Evanston man with possession with intent to deliver heroin after executing a search warrant at his home.

Police Cmdr. Jay Parrott says the raid took place about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at 1929 Hartrey Ave. and that officeres found a small amount of heroin along with packaging materials for drug sales and drug pearaphernalia.

Vernon Davis, 53, of 1929 Hartrey, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. He was also wanted, Parrott says, for a probation violation at the time of his arrest. He’s scheduled to appear in Skokie district court at 9 a.m. on Dec. 13.
