A body recovered from Chicago’s Monroe Harbor Thursday is believed to be that of 32-year-old Clarence “CJ” Weaver Jr. of Evanston.
Family members told ABC 7 Weaver and some friends rented a pontoon boat at the harbor last Sunday.
Weaver, who had been on his high school swim team, jumped into the water from the boat but failed to come back up.
Weaver owned his own carpentry and restoration business.
He’s the son of Clarence and Wendy Weaver, owners of the C&W Market at 1901 Church St.
The body was recovered by the Monroe Harbor Marine Unit.
