Evanston Mayor Elizabeth Tisdahl was honored at Saturday night’s Piven Theater Workshop Gala at the Noyes Cultural Arts Center.
The mayor was recognized for her support of the arts with the first named seat in the proposed new theater to be built at the Noyes Center as part the proposed expansion of Piven’s operation at the Center.
Several hundred people turned out at the Center for the Gala, including actor Jeremy Piven whose parents founded the Piven Theater Workshop.
Piven came to the event from London where he is filming the new television series “Mr. Selfridge” for the ITV network.
