Evanston Now is looking to hire an enterprising reporter/editor.

The reporter/editor will cover community meetings and breaking news, conduct interviews, generate and develop story ideas and edit submissions from community contributors.

Here’s some additional information about this full-time position:

You’ll take photos to illustrate your stories. You’ll know your way around a spreadsheet and create informative charts to illuminate stories. Video, analytics and social media skills a major plus.

You’ll work primarily from your home office, which should be in or within a couple miles of Evanston. Driver’s license and car required.

Flexible schedule, but requires evening meetings and occasional weekend work.

You have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, and significant experience in the field.
