The Fourth of July may be behind us, but lots of outdoor concerts, movies, arts festivals and picnics are scheduled for the rest of the summer and we’ll tell you about them each Sunday for the next couple of months. Check out these three concerts this week:

Evanston’s Starlight Concerts in the Park features Afinca’o, a salsa group that feeds off the energy of the crowd and aims to keep the dance floor moving, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Canal Shores Golf Course, 1030 Central St. The concert is free.

Take a midday break for Lunch on the Lake at Northwestern on Wednesday to hear the Soul 2 the Bone band for a mix of Motown, R & B, neo soul, dsco, light rock, contemporary jazz, traditional jazz and a good sprinkle of Blues. Admission and watermelon are free and picnic pads are provided. Bring a lunch or purchase something for $10-11 at Norris Center, 1999 Campus Drive.

Enjoy Brazilian and American Jazz performed by Rio Bamba at Thursday Night Live in downtown Evanston starting at 7 p.m. at the north plaza of Fountain Square (outside World of Beer). Grab a meal to-go and dine al fresco. The event is free.
