Evanston/Skokie School District 65 is inviting families of incoming kindergartners to learn more about the kindergarten experience through a special event series this winter. Children must be five years old on or before September 1 to register for kindergarten.
Kindergarten Open Houses
Tuesday, Jan. 22 — Attendance-area schools (K-5)
Wednesday, Jan. 30 — Dr. Bessie Rhodes School of Global Studies (K-8)
Thursday, Jan. 31 — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Literary & Fine Arts School (K-8)
Kindergarten open houses will be held at each individual school and will begin at 7 p.m. For more information about each school, consult the D65 school directory.
District 65 Information Fair

The District 65 Information Fair will be held 6-8:30 p.m. at the JEH Education Center, 1500 McDaniel Ave. This event is open to all incoming kindergarten families and families new to District 65. With no set presentation or agenda, families may come at any point during the event to learn more about district programs and services, ask questions and receive assistance in beginning the registration process. Childcare will be available.

Wednesday, March 6 — Student last name starts with A through M
Thursday, March 7 — Student last name starts with N through Z
Friday March 8 — Make-up date for all schools
