MakerGirl Session: World of Disney

MakerGirl is a not for profit that brings STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education to girls ages 7-10 by teaching them about 3D printing and other cutting edge technologies.

Since MakerGirl inception in 2014 at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, over 3,800 young girls have been impacted by the initiative. We are different from other organizations in the way we give young girls the access to online CAD software and 3D printers, hence improving their digital and leadership skills.

As a MakerGirl chapter in Northwestern, we have been leading MakerGirl sessions every quarter for the past two years. This fall, we are leading three main 3D printing sessions, and this is our third session for the quarter with the theme of World of Disney!

Come to our World of Disney session to design and 3D print your own favorite Disney character or any Disney-inspired idea. even your own cape, eye mask, as well as new superhero-related inventions!

You can get your ticket through clicking on this eventrbite link or via visiting our facebook page

The session will start promptly at 5:00 pm on November 18th, so make sure you bring your child around 10 minutes before our session starts. The location of our session is Northwestern's Seeley G. Mudd Science and Engineering Library (2233 Tech Drive, 2nd Floor, Evanston, Illinois 60201).
