Rotary Club of Evanston hosts PizzaFest!
Pitching all you can eat pizza and soda, the Rotary Club of Evanston will host PizzaFest! – the club’s party to raise funds for local community groups – from 4:30-8:30 pm on Tuesday, May 21 at Gigio’s Pizza, 1001 Davis Street in Evanston.
This year’s event will spill out to the sidewalk and into a closed-to-traffic Maple Avenue where entertainment will be provided by Evanston’s own Greenleaf Band and DJ JP Gunnz. Local brewery Temperance will sell their popular brands and Bennison’s bakery will offer its outstanding dessert selections.
Celebrity servers [check names] Mayor Steve Hagerty and local Aldermen, Rotary’s Barry Rassin and John Hewko, and Evanston Community Foundation’s Monique Jones are expected.
Throughout the evening Rotary members will don aprons, dish out pizza, pour pop, and tend to guests to support initiatives vital to the well-being of Evanston. Past beneficiaries include On Your Feet Foundation, Curt’s Café South, Evanston Food Exchange and Park School PTA.
Tickets for PizzaFest! – adults $20, children $12 – are available online or at the door. Northwestern Wildcards accepted.
