Giving Rock is hosting Giving Rocks 2019, on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 7-10:30 p.m. at Evanston Rocks, 1012 Church Street in Evanston.

The Giving Rocks annual fundraiser prides itself on music that’s not only good for the soul but helps raise money for pediatric cancer research.  The evening features an amazing lineup of musical talent that includes a headline performance from Chicago favorite Louis Zagoras and his band Rollover.  Additional performances feature an incredibly talented group of young adults and teens including Ali May Angel, Saige Chaseley, Mark Wehner and SNK (Sophie Varones, Noa Dayan, Kathryn Handler).  Also unique to a Giving Rocks event is Syd Rocks necklace making, the lifeline of the foundation, along with festive food and drinks, a silent auction and live auction.

Wilmette-based Giving Rocks Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit that was created in 2012 from the love and support that resulted when Syd Martin was diagnosed with LCH, a little known potentially fatal disease at the young age of 10. LCH is a little known, potentially fatal disease impacting 1 in 200,000 children per year. The Wilmette-based foundation delivers on their mission through merchandise sales, participation in events such as Lollapalooza and Wanderlust, and using their branded rock necklaces to build excitement, educate communities and raise funds to find a cure for LCH and pediatric cancer. To date, Giving Rocks Foundation has raised more than $800,000.
