Good Memories Choir Makes its Evanston Debut

The Good Memories Choir will present its debut concert next Thursday, December 12, at 1:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Evanston Public Library.

This concert – free and open to the entire community—will introduce you to a heartwarming musical experience that is enriching the lives of people with early stage memory loss. Hear us sing some of your favorite holiday classics as well as several that might be new to you.

About our choir:  Good Memories brings joy and connections to people with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. No musical experience or training is needed. Led by professional conductors and supported by singer-volunteers, we welcome anyone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia who can attend the structured weekly rehearsals and wants to make great music and new friends. As one chorister put it, “Singing with Good Memories is the best part of my week.”

Come and spend a heartwarming hour with the new community resource.  No tickets required!

Supported in part by the Evanston Community Foundation and the Illinois Arts Council.
