The Levy Senior Center Foundation presents a virtual concert featuring harmonica legend Corky Siegel and blues and jazz diva Lynne Jordan on Dec. 4.

Made possible by the Levy Senior Center Foundation, this online music spectacular will include three recorded sets with Siegel and Jordan plus a lively conversation with the musicians in real time. Joining Siegel and Jordan is John Anderson, a Grammy-nominated and Emmy-winning documentary filmmaker. Tickets to this one-of-a-kind event are free to the public, but advance registration is required.

Make it dinner AND a show! If you order delivery (or carryout) from Hecky's (www.heckys.com) Barbecue in Evanston on Dec. 4, they will donate a percentage of your bill back to us. Use code LSCF at checkout!

This is a time for coming together to celebrate the season, and we expect this to be the largest Jamming Jean audience to date. We look forward to “seeing” you at this special event and we encourage you to share the registration link with your friends, family and neighbors.

Read more about the artists:

Corky Siegel
Siegel is known internationally as one of the world’s great blues harmonica players, blues pianist, singer and writer of unusual songs, a Chamber Blues progenitor and sole pioneer/composer of award-winning revolutionary works that weave blues and classical forms together. He celebrates 55 years of performance, a co-founder of the popular Siegel-Schwall Band, a Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee and Lifetime Achievement awardee. Corky Siegel has a catalogue of recordings on RCA, Vanguard, Alligator, and million selling blues/classical recordings on the iconic classical label Deutsche Grammophon.

Lynne Jordan
In a city brimming with classic blues and jazz divas, Chicago vocalist Jordan stands apart. Not only do her soaring vocals dip effortlessly into blues, jazz, funk, rock, and even country but her bawdy personality wins over any crowd. Her talent so dazzled the Second City that the late Chicago film critic Roger Ebert declared her his “favorite diva.” Backed by her sizzling band The Shivers, Jordan quickly developed into a Chicago institution, playing jazz and blues clubs, The Chicago Bluesfest, swanky lounges and even the charity circuit throughout the country. She brought her special brand of storytelling, raw humor, and performance to Chicago, New York, and Atlanta with her sold-out show, A Musical Tribute to Nina Simone.
