THEFT
2200 Oakton
Someone was caught taking a faucet from the Home Depot store in the 2200 block of Oakton Street without paying for it around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
700 Mulford
A red 2014 Kia Sorrento was stolen from the 700 block of Mulford Street between Dec. 13 and 11 a.m. Saturday.
2400 Howard
A wallet and contents were stolen from the Jewel-Osco grocery store in the 2400 block of Howard Street around 5 p.m. Saturday.
1600 Chicago
Food items were taken from the Whole Foods grocery store in the 1600 block of Chicago Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.
800 Davis
Food items were taken from a convenience store in the 800 block of Davis Street at 7:46 a.m. and later at 7:25 p.m. Saturday.
800 Dempster
Cash was taken from an office in the 800 block of Dempster Street between 4 p.m. Wednesday and noon on Friday.
1100 Church
A package was stolen from a residential building in the 1100 block of Church Street at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday.
1200 Emerson
A package was stolen from a residential building in the 1200 block of Emerson Street between 4 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
100 Chicago
Miscellaneous items were taken from a gas station in the 100 block of Chicago Avenue at 12:13 a.m. Thursday.
200 Main
A catalytic converter was removed from a 2008 Honda in the 200 block of Main Street between 9:45 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday.
800 Hinman
A catalytic converter was removed from a 2003 Honda in the 800 block of Hinman Avenue between 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
BURGLARY
400 Asbury
Cash was taken from an unlocked 2013 Toyota in the 400 block of Asbury Avenue between 10 a.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.
900 South Boulevard
A bicycle and tools were stolen from an unlocked residence in the 900 block of South Boulevard between 6 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.
1000 Dempster
Someone forced entry to the basement storage area of a residential building in the 1000 block of Dempster Street between 8 a.m. Friday and 3:30 p.m. Sunday and stole two air conditioner units.
1100 Emerson
A fire extinguisher was stolen from a commercial building in the 1100 block of Emerson Street around 10 a.m. Thursday by someone who forced their way into an office by breaking a window.
700 Monticello
A wallet and contents were stolen from an unlocked 2012 Jeep in the 700 block of Monticello Place shortly after 11 p.m. Sunday.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE
100 Asbury
A passenger side window of a 2011 Toyota was broken between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Asbury Avenue.
1500 Howard
A passenger side window of a 2019 Mitsubishi was broken between 9 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Howard Street.
700 Dobson
Someone damaged and flattened the tires of a 2016 Lexus in the 700 block of Dobson Street between 8:30 p.m. Saturday and noon on Sunday.
GRAFFITI
1400 Chicago
A blue marker was used to write the word “Kannus” as graffiti at the Music Institute of Chicago building in the 1400 block of Chicago Avenue between 9 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.
OTHER
1622 Sherman
Jamere M. Gregory, 32, of 1803 Hartrey Ave., was arrested at 1622 Sherman Ave. at 7:23 p.m. Friday and charged with illegal possession of alcohol in public.
3225 Natchez
Christian Paredes, 23, of 3225 N. Natchez Ave., Chicago, was arrested at that address at 4 a.m. Wednesday and charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
SHOTS HEARD
1700 Monroe
Gunshots were reported in the 1700 block of Monroe Street at 5:11 p.m. on Dec. 12. Police checked the area and found nothing, but a resident reported seeing fireworks.
1100 Florence
Gunshots were reported in the 1100 block of Florence Avenue at 2:24 a.m. Sunday. Police checked the area but found nothing.
