A female Northwestern University student was robbed of her cell phone, keys and credit cards by two men early today while she was walking on Garrett Place near campus

Police say the victim was not injured.

The student was walking eastbound on Garrett Place about 1:55 a.m. near Orrington Avenue when she was approached by two male suspects. One of the men threatened her and demanded she give them her phone.

After she handed over the phone, the robber threatened her again demanded her wallet. The victim told the man she did not have any money but turned over a pouch containing her credit cards and some identification cards.

The suspects then took her keys and walked away northbound on Orrington, while the victim walked to her residence, where she called police.

A detailed description of the offenders could not be obtained and no weapons were displayed. Both Evanston Police and University Police responded but were unsuccessful in locating the offenders.

Evanston Police are investigating the incident and persons with information that might help the investigation are asked to call the police at 847-866-5000.
