A group of Evanston religious leaders plan to hold a Community Time of Prayer event tonight to reflect on the recent events in Ferguson, Mo.
A grand jury’s decision, announced late Monday, not to indict a police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black youth after a confrontation on a Ferguson street last August, led to a night of rioting in Ferguson and largely peaceful demonstrations in Chicago and several other cities.
The gathering in Evanston tonight will be held at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Church, 1330 Ridge Ave.
