Police were summoned to Mason Park, just east of Evanston Township High School, at Church Street and Florence Avenue, upon discovering three garbage containers destroyed by fire late yesterday afternoon. This story is featured in today’s daily crime bulletin from Evanston police.

Fire melted and destroyed three plastic garbage cans at the Mason Park fieldhouse at Church Street and Florence Avenue, shortly after 6 p.m. yesterday. Cause of the blaze was unknown at the park, which is a popular location for summer youth camps.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of .guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
