A fire broke out about 7 o’clock this morning in the basement of The Judson, a large apartment building on the southeast corner of Judson Avenue and Dempster Street.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly. There was no immediate report of injuries or whether residents were displaced from the building.
