Most of Evanston’s fire units were called out around 9 a.m. this morning to a fire in a home at 2204 Asbury Ave.

The fire appeared to be confined to the basement of the home and was quickly extinguished.

No reports so far of any injuries. No immediate word on the cause.

Update 9:28 a.m.: Fire units were starting to leave the scene by about 9:25 a.m.
