Fire Departments from Evanston and other north shore communities are using the empty buildings at the college to train their members in rescue techniques.

Smoke

The college buildings at Orrington Avenue and Lincoln Street will be torn down soon, to be replaced with new single family homes, but they offered one last educational program for the firefighters, who had to make their way through heavy smoke created by bails of hay set afire in barrels.
