Despite sloppy weather this weekend, a of crew neighborhood residents joined by some Evanston firefighters gathered at Fireman’s Park at Maple Avenue and Simpson Street to give it a spring cleaning.

After the work was done, they posed on the park’s antique fire truck to mark the occasion.

The park was restored last year through a joint effort of the city, firefighters and neighbors.
