First baby of the new year arrives at Evanston Hospital

Seven-pound, five-ounce Declyn Walden became the first baby born in 2021 at Evanston Hospital this morning.

The baby girl arrived at 5:28 a.m.

A NorthShore University HealthSystem spokesman say she and her parents, Sydney and Nicholas Walden of Glenview, are all doing well. Declyn is the couple’s first child.
