First Bank & Trust of Evanston has revamped its website with new features in a format that is also easy to read on multiple devices.

The bank has long had a website that enables its customers to access their accounts remotely, and it recently added a new feature for depositing checks with a smartphone.

But the website now has a blog with money-saving tips and financial resources, an events calendar for community organizations, and a newsletter sign-up.

Former Evanston Mayor Jay Lytle, a managing director of the bank, expressed management’s pride in the new addition,”which will allow us to be even more responsive to the 24/7 needs of our customers.”

“As more people bank with mobile devices,” he added, “we are excited to be able to offer them the convenience they are looking for as well as the highly-personalized service they have come to expect.”
