snow-plow

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning that runs from 3 p.m. this afternoon until 3 a.m. Friday.

Rain will continue to fall until this evening, with the snow in Evanston most likely to start around 8 p.m. Forecasters estimate we can expect 2 to 4 inches of snow.

Poor driving conditions, with heavy snowfall rates and high winds cutting visibility are expected through the evening rush hour.  Wind gusts of 50 miles or more are anticipated.

ComEd reported is expecting power outages and significant damage to its system is a result of the combination of rain, ice and wet sow.
