2000 Keeney

A burglar who forced entry into a home in the 2000 block of Keeney Street around 4:48 p.m. yesterday stole jewelry.


800 Hinman

A gray 2015 Ford Escape was stolen from the 800 block of Hinman Avenue around 7:14 p.m. yesterday.

1500 Oak

An unsecured bicycle was stolen from an apartment in the 1500 block of Oak Avenue between midnight Saturday and 6:18 p.m. yesterday.

1600 Dodge

A cell phone was removed from a locker at Evanston Township High School between 1:38 p.m. and 2:09 p.m. yesterday.


2141 Howard

Erieal L. Hemphill, 23, of 14830 Winchester Ave., Harvey, was arrested at 2141 Howard St. at 10:30 a.m. yesterday and charged with a traffic violation. He is due in court on Jan. 3 at 10:30 a.m.

Incidents listed appear among the official reports of the Evanston Police Department. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt, which can only be determined by a court of law. Court appearances take place in Cook County 2nd District Circuit Court in Skokie.
