Frances (Franny) Iacuzzi, a 2004 graduate and soccer star at Evanston Township High School, was inducted last weekend into the Hall of Honor at Colgate University in Hamilton, N.Y.

She was one of three former head coaches and former student-athletes so honored by Colgate for their athletic exploits on behalf of the university.

Iacuzzi, who was in Colgate’s Class of 2008, was team captain in 2007 and remains Colgate’s all-time leader with 47 goals and 15 game-winning goals.

She led the Colgate Raiders in scoring all four of her college years, helping the team to records of 48-26-3 overall and 18-9-1 in Patriot League play with one championship.

Last Saturday, the inductees attended the formal unveiling of their names inside the Colgate Athletics Hall of Honor, and then were recognized at halftime of the Homecoming football game on Crown Field at Andy Kerr Stadium while Franny’s parents, Judy and Tony Iacuzzi of northeast Evanston, watched.

The new Colgate honoree lives in Los Angeles, where she has been pursuing a commercial photography career under the name, Frances Iacuzzi Photography.
