Maybe it’s a sign Evanston’s real estate market is reviving. Former Mayor Lorraine Morton has put her house at 2102 Darrow Ave. up for sale.
Listing agent Jim Nash of Farnsworth-Hill, Inc. says Morton, who served four terms as Evanston’s mayor, retiring in 2009, is “just sort of testing the water to see what’s out there.”
The house, according to county records, was built in 1911 and has 1,752 square feet of living space.
The listing price, including some adjacent vacant land, is $637,000.
The property, at the corner of Darrow and Simpson Street, is zoned R-3, which the listing indicates means it could be redeveloped for multi-family use.
