Foundation 65, the educational foundation for Evanston-Skokie School District 65, has selected four new board members.

“We are so excited to welcome these talented and dedicated individuals to the F65 board,” said Lise Jinno, Foundation 65’s executive director. The foundation works to enhance arts and literacy experiences for the district’s students.

The new members, starting their service on the board this month, are:

Evan Finamore: With an extensive career in exhibit development and as an exhibit and program consultant for the Chicago Children’s Museum, Evan Finamore is an expert at using art to communicate with children.  She has also worked as an exhibit and program evaluator for a variety of museums around the country.  Evan currently owns her own small business, PhotoPhlowers, but dedicates her free time to volunteering in the Evanston community and at her children’s schools.

Katy Hart: A lifelong Evanstonian and an alumna of Lincolnwood, King Lab, Haven and Evanston Township High School, Katy Hart is now an attorney specializing in residential real estate and has operated as a sole practitioner in Evanston for the past eight years. She has also been an active volunteer within District 65, most recently serving on the District’s New School Committee.

Kathy Tisdahl: As a lifelong Evanston resident and alumna of both King Lab and Evanston Township High School, Kathy Tisdahl has been very involved in the Evanston community and with District 65 schools. She has served on a number of non-profit boards and currently co-chairs the Erie Evanston/Skokie Health Center Board and has been an active member of the Orrington PTA and recently co-chaired Foundation 65’s My 65 benefit.

Ed Tivador: With over thirty years of leadership and management experience in the public school arena, and currently serving as superintendent of schools for Northbrook/ Glenview School District 30, has also served on numerous boards and organizations and currently serves on the Citizens’ Police Advisory Committee in Evanston, is Director for the Northern Suburban Special Education District, and Board Member for ED-RED.

Foundation 65 is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, an independent operating foundation with its own volunteer board and funds. Since 2003, Foundation 65 has invested over $1,000,000 in projects and programs making an impact at every school in the District.
