Foundation 65 – the education foundation for Evanston/Skokie
School District 65 – is seeking an executive director to work closely with its board,
community partners, and District 65 administration to implement Foundation 65’s
newly outlined strategic planning goals and to capitalize on the foundation’s
potential by building capacity, fundraising, and expanding program reach and
effectiveness.

Foundation 65 is an independent 501(c) (3) organization
founded in 1994 by a small group of business and civic leaders and now wishes
to increase its impact. The Foundation’s
first ever executive director will use
the organization’s recently conducted community assessment and strategic
planning process to develop and execute a roadmap for the Foundation’s future
role in District 65 schools, creating benchmarks that will help measure success,
communicating with stakeholders, and organizing board and volunteers around the
work.

The strong candidate will be a strategic thinker committed
to public education and the power of local foundations and volunteers to impact
the experience of Evanston students. Additionally,
highly qualified candidates will demonstrate proven success in nonprofit
fundraising, board development experience, effective relationship building
skills, excellent written and oral communications skills and strong inter- and
intra-personal skills.
