Four Evanston Township High School athletes will advance to the United States Track and Field (USATF) National meet set for July 25-30 in Lawrence, Kansas following Region 7 qualifying held last weekend in Lisle.

Jonathan Wilburn, Julion Michelin, Enyaeva Michelin and Gabby Horton all earned the right to compete at Nationals. All four athletes will return to the high school ranks next season.

Wilburn, a senior-to-be, won the 17-18 year-old triple jump competition with a best leap of 46 feet, 6 inches. Julion Michelin, a junior-to-be, qualified after placing first in the 15-16 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes, 3 seconds.

Enyaeva Michelin topped the field in the girls 17-18 1500-meter run with a winning time of 4:34, and Horton placed third in the girls 15-16 800.
Also competing from ETHS were Matt Caines, sixth in the 17-18 triple jump with a personal best of 43-2, and Logan Singer in the 17-18 800 meter run with a time of 1:58.99. Neither competitor will advance.
