The City of Evanston is offering teens between the ages of 13 and 18 free 10-punch beach passes starting today.
The passes are available at the Dempster Street Beach Office, the Evanston Ecology Center, the Robert Crown Community Center and Library, and the Fleetwood-Jourdain Community Center.
Proof of residency is required.
Beach tokens are also on sale at the same locations for $28 for residents and $44 for non-residents.
Sale hours are 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily at the Dempster location. Hours for the other locations are only Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ecology Center, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Crown, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Fleetwood.
The beaches are scheduled to open for swimming on July 1.
